1. What is the Place the Car workflow?
This workflow allows you to upload a cut-out PNG of your car (with transparent background) and place it directly into:
A Maground archive backplate, or
Your own uploaded background image.
The AI automatically adjusts shadows, reflections, and perspective for a photorealistic integration.
2. When should I use Place the Car?
Use this workflow when you already have studio shots, CGI cutouts, or manufacturer PNGs of the car and want to quickly integrate them into real locations.
It’s ideal for:
Dealerships needing instant marketing visuals.
Agencies creating campaign drafts.
Automotive teams working with official cutouts instead of trained LoRAs.
4. Creating marketing images quickly with Nano Banana
Provide an image and simply describe the change you want. The model will analyze the original image's style, lighting, and perspective to make the edit look natural and maintain character consistency across a series of images.
Below example prompt:
"Create a marketing image of the car driving fast in the desert. Dust and small particles are flying underneath the tiers. The car drives very fast."
As you can see Nano Banana keeps the look & feel, light and character of the original image pretty consistent.
5. Creating marketing images quickly with Flux Kontext
Same prompt as above, slightly different results:
"Create a marketing image of the car driving fast in the desert. Dust and small particles are flying underneath the tiers. The car drives very fast."
6. What are the benefits compared to other pipelines?
✅ Speed & simplicity – Just drop in your PNG and get results instantly.
✅ No LoRA training required – Works directly with your existing assets.
✅ Flexible backgrounds – Use Maground’s global archive or your own photos.
✅ Photorealism – AI takes care of matching shadows and reflections.
7. What are the drawbacks compared to other pipelines?
⚠️ No camera data – Unlike the 3D Camera workflow, you don’t receive focal length or position metadata for CGI.
⚠️ Less flexibility in perspective – The car must match the perspective of your cutout. You can’t reposition it as freely as in the 3D Camera workflow with LoRA models.
⚠️ Not optimized for AI concepting – If you want creative variations and moodboards, the Inspiration or 3D Flows are better suited.
8. What can I do after placing the car?
Once the integration is generated, you can use the History tab to:
Apply AI Retouch (Nano Banana / Flux Context) to adjust environment details.
Upscale results for high-resolution output (up to 16× with Topaz Labs or Magnific).
Animate the result with Hailuo Minimax, Seedance PRO, Google Veo 3, or Kling AI 2.1.
Download the final image for campaigns or presentations.
9. How does Place the Car compare in one line to other pipelines?
3D Camera → Best to keep option for a CGI production with exact camera data
Inspiration Flow → Best for fast ideas and moodboards without camera data.
Place the Car → Best for quick low-cost marketing-ready visuals using your existing cutouts.
AI Retouch → Best for enhancing or altering backgrounds.
HDR Generation → Best for CGI workflows needing accurate lighting.
